What would live illustration at my event entail?

For fashion or other events: I arrive and briefly set up, then I typically do 5-10 minute fashion sketches of the models and/or guests. If you’d like longer poses, I can paint from photos while guests mingle or models get ready. You may keep the images for marketing or gift purposes, or guests and models can keep them. I have quite a bit of flexibility, so simply let me know your preferences and we will make it great!

For weddings: I attend either the bridal party prep (hair and makeup), the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the reception, or a combination. Typically I will do 5-10 minute fashion sketches of you and your guests, though other options are available. The illustrations are the guests’ to keep and make a wonderful souvenir from your event!

What are the other available options?

If you prefer, I can work on one larger/more detailed painting during the reception. This option is less interactive but equally entertaining for guests, and provides you (the couple) with a more substantial final work of art. The piece itself could be your couple’s portrait, a portrait of your home or pet, or a painting of the ceremony or reception. This option requires reference photo(s) provided in advance, unless I’m able to take photos myself (as in the case of the ceremony or reception). Alternatively, I’m more than happy to meet your custom requests if you envision something I haven’t listed here. It’s your special day so we’ll work together to create the perfect illustration experience!

How do I reserve my date?

Once we have confirmed your date is available, a deposit of $120 will hold it on the calendar. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has gone through.

How much do you charge and when is payment due?

Your total price will depend on how many hours you book and if you have any special requests. I will send your quote promptly after you reach out with details. The price I quote you is all-inclusive; there are no surprise fees for taxes, supplies, or anything like that! Payment is due in full 30 days before your event, and you will receive two reminder emails (one after booking and one before it’s due).

What does your setup look like, and do I have to provide anything?

You don’t have to provide anything at all! I come fully prepared with all necessary equipment, and don’t require more than a few square feet. If you have a specific location/set up in mind, I’m happy to make it work.

What if I need to cancel my reservation? Do you offer refunds?

I do offer full refunds, just be sure to let me know you need to cancel 60 days before your wedding date.

What if my date is booked already? Do you have a waitlist?

If your date is already booked, I will be more than happy to add you to my waiting list. If a spot opens up I will reach out to you right away.

Live illustration is personal, beautiful and entertaining. I’ve been creating fashion illustrations for the past 16 years, I’ve taught fashion illustration at the high school and university levels, and I have illustrated live at New York Fashion Week, Indigenous Fashion Week in Paris, and for Nordstrom. I have also worked in the wedding industry, so I know the ins-and-outs of event day and can work within your specific needs.
